I've been enjoying digital art a lot more recently, so have a new OC!

She's an Apothecary Diaries OC that I recently (like, yesterday) made with Mother. She doesn't have a name yet, but she's basically just there to be ginger.

She was kidnapped from overseas when she was young (like, 6) and attempted to be sold, but nobody wanted her. She lived with random people for a few years (got food and shelter from them before they kicked her out), and then was picked up off the streets and brought to the palace because of how 'exotic' she was. She was then trained to sing, dance, and play fiddle because people assumed she was Irish. (She's not) Basically, she's a court performer/exotic art piece/commodity.

She was never formally taught Chinese (or Japanese, pretty sure it's set in China but whatever the native language is), but she picked up a lot from living there for a while. She still doesn't have much advanced vocabulary, and she's illiterate. She does know English, as it's her native language, but again, she doesn't know it that well, having been taken overseas when she was only 6.

The jumping spider that lives in my apartment is shockingly still alive 🎉 (and she's grown a bit!!) Kitty tried to eat her as she webbed down off my bed and I had a very real moment of panic trying to separate them.

I really wish the spider would just stay in my kitchen, that's where all the gnats spawn anyway, my main room isn't safe for her 😭😭
